                           Health and Indentification Requirement

1.  All goats, market wethers, commercial does, registered percentage and full blood Boer Goats must be individually identified
on a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and originate from herds or areas not under quarantine. The Certificate of Veterinary
Inspection for goats will require clinical inspection by an accredited veterinarian within 30 days prior to date of entry to
exhibition grounds.

2.  All sexually intact goats must be identified with an individual Scrapie Flock of Origin identification tag or by an official
registered, readable tattoo, and the complete ear tag number and/or complete tattoo must be listed on the Certificate of
Veterinary Inspection. To register tattoo call 1-866-USDA-TAG. The Certificate of Veterinary Inspection must also include a
statement certifying the herd’s participation in the Scrapie Program and include scrapie premise number.

If you use tattoos instead of scrapie tags:
a. Complete numbers from both ears (or complete tail or flank numbers) must be listed on the Certificate of Veterinary
 Inspection.
b.  Herd tattoo prefix must be registered with USDA by calling 1-866-USDA-TAG.
c.  A statement must be included on the Certificate of Veterinary Inspection indicating that the herd participates in the
 scrapie program, and listing the official tattoo registered to the herd.

3.  Goats originating from outside of the state exhibiting at a state or district show - must originate from a state certified
brucellosis free herd, or the animal(s) exhibited must have a negative brucellosis test performed within 90 days of the exhibition.
In addition, they must originate from a herd having a whole-herd negative Tuberculosis test within the last twelve months, or
the animal(s) exhibited must have a record of a negative tuberculosis test performed within 90 days of exhibition.  Brucellosis and
tuberculosis class “free” state status for bovines is not recognized for goats moving into Iowa.

Goats originating from outside of the state exhibiting at a state or district show and returning to the premise of origin are
exempt from testing requirements if the certificate of veterinary inspection meets all general requirements, identification
requirements and has the following statement written by the licensed accredited veterinarian on the certificate of veterinarian:
“The goat(s) listed are for exhibition only and not for resale.”

NOTE:
 If dairy and breeding goats exhibited are intended for sale, the animals must meet Iowa animal admission
requirements, which are as follows:

Brucellosis:  All goats over six months of age, except those for immediate slaughter, must either originate from a certified free
herd, showing date of last test and herd identification number, or prove negative to a brucellosis test conducted within thirty
days prior to entry. All sexually intact goats less than six months of age must originate from a herd which has been whole-herd
tested negative for brucellosis within the last 12 months or must originate from a certified brucellosis-free herd (the date of the
last test and certified herd number must be listed on the certificate of veterinary inspection).

Tuberculosis:  All goats must either originate from a tuberculosis-free herd, showing date of last test and herd accreditation
number; or originate from a negative herd, tested within twelve months prior to entry, showing date of herd test; or have a
negative tuberculosis test applied within thirty days prior to entry. Goats less than six months of age must originate from a herd
which has been whole-herd tested negative for tuberculosis within the past 12 months or must originate from and accredited
tuberculosis-free herd (the date of the last test and accredited herd number must be listed on the certificate of veterinary
inspection).  All goats native to or originating from a county or region under quarantine for tuberculosis are not eligible for
entry into Iowa.

4.  Any evidence of club lamb fungus, ringworm, abnormal abscesses, foot rot, sore mouth, or any other contagious disease
will eliminate the animal from the show.

                             Rules and Regulations

1.   The Never Boering Show is sanctioned by the American Boer Goat Association (ABGA). Awards will be presented by
ABGA based on the association’s sanctioned rules. For copies of these rules and regulations contact the American Boer

2.   Each show day is a separate show. These shows will be held at the Sioux County Fair Grounds located at 1232 7th Street
NE, Sioux Center, IA 51250, which is located 1 mile east of the intersection of Hwy 75 and 7th Street NE.

3.   Entries may be printed off our website www.justkiddinboergoats.com or you can email us at eataboer@hotmail.com and
request an entry form or call us at 712.441.2073 and we will send one to you.

4.   ENTRIES MUST BE POSTMARKED ON OR BEFORE JUNE 27. Entries postmarked between June 28 – July 9 will be charged
a late fee of $5 per head in addition to the regular entry fees. No entries will be accepted after July 9. Entries are accepted
according to earliest postmark.

5.   Each exhibitor, as a requirement of entry, will pay an entry fee of $10 per head and $2
0/head for jackpot  market wethers.  
Entry Fee must accompany entry or it will be returned. This entry fee must be paid for all goats entering a class. Tack pens
are $10, please make note if you are in need of one of these on your entry form. An entry form must be filled out for each
show.

6.   No refunds of fees will be made unless cancellation is received in writing (letter or e-mail) by July 4. Refunds will be made
by mail after the show has ended.

7.   Send a copy of the total number of pens requested (pens are large enough for 3 mature goats) by June 27 to: Just Kiddin’

PLEASE NOTE: Tack pens are available, but if not noted on the entry form, you will not receive one.

8.   You must list class numbers, animal name, registration number, tattoos, birth date, sex and breed on the entry form. You
will also need to list your ABGA, CBGA, IBGA and/or USBGA membership number on this form. Leave blank if not a
member of any of the associations. Animals registered with out legitimate registration numbers will be placed in the
appropriate commercial doe division.

9.   Shavings are required to be used in the pens. You must bring your own. Bring your own feed. You may want to bring
your own fencing to put around your pen to keep your goats in. You will be responsible for cleaning your own pen(s).

10.  Goats must be owned by an individual or previous existing farm at least 30 days prior to the opening of the show.
Certificates of registry must be presented to the Show Superintendent for examination and must show transfer of
ownership to the exhibitor 30 days or more prior to the opening of the Show.

11.  Each exhibitor may show no more than two animals in each class. No animals shall be changed from one class to another
after closing date unless it is ineligible for the class in which it is entered.

12.  Substitutions are allowed in the same class only and must have same ownership as the original entry. Substitutions will be
made at check-in.

13.  Market wethers and commercial does do not need to be registered. All percentage Boer Goats and Full Blood Boer Goats
must be registered in the Herdbook of a recognized association before the show. Recognized associations include
American Boer Goat Association, Canadian Boer Goat Association, International Boer Goat Association, and United States
Boer Goat Association. The original registration certificate of ownership must be produced at the request of the
Superintendent. A stamped duplicate or faxed duplicate application showing the date received by the association is
acceptable for animals under three months of age. Proof of birth will be the date on the registration certificate. All animals
must be tattooed with a legible tattoo or other means of permanent identification consistent with its registration. Tattoos
or other means or permanent identification will be checked with the registration papers at the time of check-in. If the
tattoo is unreadable or does not match the registration paper, the goat will be disqualified. The permanent identification
must match the registration paper. No tattooing allowed after unloading. If the animal has a microchip as its permanent
identification, the exhibitor is responsible for providing a microchip reader.

14.  All animals except market wethers and commercial does must be registered purebred, full blood or percentage blood Boer
goats. Percentage classes are for 50% to 88% Boer cross, Full Blood classes are for goats that are 15/16 (93.75%) and higher.
Progeny of fresh does will not be allowed in the ring. At the discretion of the judge and Superintendent, goats may be
turned loose in the ring as a function of judging.

15.  All bucks must be washed and clipped prior to arriving at the show and kept as odor free as possible. If a buck is deemed
to be an odor problem and/or hazard by the Superintendent, he will be removed from the Fairgrounds at the discretion
of the Superintendent.

16.  Birth dates, as listed on the Certificate of Registration, will be used to determine the class divisions. July 10 will be the base
date in computing all ages. The class division sheet has the birth date ranges listed next to the class age bracket. Select the
appropriate class by where the birth date of your animal fits.

17.  All market wethers will be weighed in at show check-in. Market wethers will be broken into classes based on weights
taken at show check-in time. There will be no more than 10 goats per class. All wethers must have all their milk teeth and
must be, individually, officially identified on a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection and originate from herds or areas not
under quarantine. The Certificate of Veterinary Inspection for goats will require clinical inspection with in 30 days to date
of entry to exhibition grounds. Market wethers will be entered into the jackpot class where all entries will be paid back.
The entry fee for this class will be $15/head.

18.  Goats entered under their ABGA registration numbers and presenting their Certificates of Registration will be eligible to
earn points for their actual placing in the show as described “Criteria for Ennoblement of a Boer Goat”.

19.  Any goat showing any pronounced defect or abnormality, such as a weak constitution, unthrifty condition, overshot jaw
or undershot jaw, abscesses, will be barred from showing in any of the whether or breeding classes. Illegible tattoos
inconsistent with registration will result in disqualification. Any doe over 24 months of age that has not kidded and cannot
prove a current pregnancy will not be allowed to show. No artificial coloring will be allowed.

20.  Fitting and clipping must be done prior to arrival at the Show.

22.  Please make note if you are attending the Educational Seminars. These seminars are included for those that are exhibiting at
the show. All other attendees will pay $5 per person to attend.
