Southern Iowa Fair
July 21, 2007
Mahaska County Fairgrounds in Oskaloosa, Iowa
Judge: Dr. Fred Homeyer
I apologize for having not having any pictures, but this was a great event.
This show was about the same size as the Never Boering Show that was held in Sioux
Center.

We had a great time, came home with a couple first from our 8 month old doe named
Sassy and her sister Maggnificient came home with a second place ribbon. Also our
two year old doe earned a second place ribbon.

On Sunday there was an excellent educational event put on by the Tall Corn Jackpot
Weather Goat Association. Dr. Fred Homeyer taught us the important things to look
for in a herd sire in the mourning and in the evening we had some hands on
evaluation of goats.

I had the privilege of having my goats evaluated. Dr. Homeyer had a hard time of
coming up with anything negative to say about the does that I brought to the show.
He was very impressed.

Dr. Homeyer is an ABGA judge that has judged national shows in Australia, Austria,
Germany, along with a number of shows in the US and South Africa. He is a very
knowledgeable individual from Robert Lee, TX.

Thank you Dr. Homeyer.
